The article is an analytic review of the Russian-German bilingual edition of Kant’s key works that is carried out by a group of Kant scholars from the Institute of Philosophy at the Russian Academy of Sciences in collaboration with their German colleagues. This Kant edition is not only the first of its kind in Russia, but it also has no precedent in the West. Unique in both its conception and execution, the edition represents the living pulsing thought in action. And this is not only because the edition still continues, but primarily due to the fact that this publication reflects the latest achievements of the Russian and German Kant scholarship, which is revealed through the detailed analytical commentary, philosophically valuable introductions and the extremely informative bilingual Indexes of Key Terms that are included in each of the volumes. Focusing on the volumes published to date and examining translations and other materials contained therein, the author shows a uniqueness of the project and its significance for Kant studies in Russia and beyond.
