Abstract

The article appears to be an analysis of Leo Strauss’s lecture The problem of Socrates, and opens with the reference about Leo Strauss’s life and some peculiarities of his thought. That analysis devoted to two aspects of «the problem of Socrates» — philosophical and historical aspects, to the knowledge (represented by philosophy) and to the opinion (represented by history), their relations and interactions, i.e. the central theme of Strauss’s investigations.
