The publication is based on an interview with Nelly V. Motroshilova conducted by Alexei P. Kozyrev, Associate Professor of the Philosophy Department at Lomonosov Moscow State University (with the participation of E.A. Kalinin and A.G. Bogomolov) on July 16, 2004. Motroshilova recalls her student years, when the friendly and intellectual connections were formed that later became the foundation of her academic career. The interview focuses on her teachers (V.F. Asmus, P.S. Popov, E.V. Ilyenkov, V.I. Korovikov, among others) and the formation of her research interests, particularly the initiation of her work on the study of Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology. Motroshilova discusses her work on the bilingual edition of Immanuel Kant’s collected works and shares her interest in the Russian philosophical tradition. The interview reveals the circle of Motroshilova’s creative communication, which included prominent domestic and foreign philosophers such as Jürgen Habermas, T.I. Oizerman, E.Yu. Solovyev, V.S. Stepin, M.K. Mamardashvili, and others.
