Abstract

The article written by the Italian philosopher and economist Ugo Spirito deals with the events which happened in an Italian philosophical culture in the first half of the 20th Century. Eugenio Garin, the greatest historian of Italian philosophy, named Spirito «a thoughtful registrar of certain aspects of our culture». The author analyses ideas and steps of a new cultural programme. He believes the main concept of this programme is idealism in its different forms. As the original article is very big and informative we should concentrate only on one of the topics. The reader's attention is offered the first part of the current article devoted to the history of the Italian culture in the context of the fascism. The other part of the article saying of the events which happened in the Italian life after the fall of the fascism regime demands our special analysis and discussion. The article translated from Italian into Russian by Gregory Shevakin.
