Abstract

The authornotesthat in the book both historical and logical aspects of the formation of the Cartesian school of thought are examinated. A.A. Krotov regardes the philosophy of Malebranche as one of the most important stages in the evolution of Cartesianism. In his opinion, the originality of this theory is due to the desire to combine philosophy andreligion in the “scientific metaphysics”.
