Abstract

The article of Norbert Hinske, one of the best known Kant researchers in German, is devoted to Kant’s lectures on natural right. Delivered in spring semester of 1784, they could be considered as a commentary to the “Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals” on which the philosopher worked at that time. In spite of the fact that “Natural Right of Feyerabend” as most of notes of Kant’s lectures contains a lot of obscure passages, a lot of Kant’s thoughts that were reflected in his printed works become much more obvious thanks to this text, which makes it literally a key text for understanding Kant’s ethic. In this article, Hinske lays stress on two such problems, for whose examination parallels with “Natural Right of Feyerabend” are very helpful: correlations between the concepts of “price” and “dignity” and three arts of imperatives.
